Run to You Blog Tour Stop

Author: Clara Kensie
Goodreads Rating: 4.20
Pages: 150
Format: E-Book from Publisher

Part One in the riveting romantic thriller about a family on the run from a deadly past and a first love that will transcend secrets, lies and danger…
Sarah Spencer has a secret: her real name is Tessa Carson, and to stay alive, she can tell no one the truth about her psychically gifted family and the danger they are running from. As the new girl in the latest of countless schools, she also runs from her attraction to Tristan Walker—after all, she can’t even tell him her real name. But Tristan won’t be put off by a few secrets. Not even dangerous ones that might rip Tessa from his arms before they even kiss…

I've never read a serialized book before and I think thats because there is a lack of them out there. I know that Leanna Renee Hieber did it with the last book in her Darker Still series, but I didn't do it because for me it was too hard to stay on top of.

When Harlequin offered me the chance to read the Run To You series, Parts 1,2 and 3, I jumped all over it. Hannah had told me that I should check it out so I was excited at the chance to dive into Tessa's world. I think that is important to note that parts 1-3 are sort of like their own book in a sense. The major story arch follows all three of them as opposed to each one individually. So when you go into this series, it's best to get them all at once and then power through them. Sort of like getting your favorite show on DVD or Netflix and then binging on it.

I was really intrigued by Tessa and what her family was going through. I wanted to know what was happening to them and why they were targeted. I felt awful for Tessa as she struggled with finding a new place to live and a new life. I liked watching her start to find this new life outside of her messed up family life. I didn't blame her for wanting to find some sort of normal life, but I felt that her self pity was a little too much.

I really adored Tristan, but I felt that thing's moved a little too fast between Tessa and him. Although, I have to say it was a little tricky to understand how much time has passed. To me it felt as though only weeks had passed from the start of the book until the end and I felt that things moved a little too quickly. It was almost as if most of this book was focused on that relationship though and we never really saw more of Tessa outside of her being with Tristan. I felt badly for Tessa because outside her family and Tristan, we got to see little of her interaction with other people.

This book leaves you with quite the cliffhanger that will leave you dying to get your hands on the next part.

Run To You Part Two: Second Glance
Goodreads Rating:  4.33
Pages: 150
Format: EArc from Publisher

When you do get to Part Two, it is just like a regular book and it picks up right where you left off with Jillian doing something silly. I think I liked Part Two a little more than Part One because you're more established with the characters and there was less of a getting to know period. Actually, I take that back there hardly was one because it's like Harlequin took the book and chopped it into three different pieces. The there is a normal story arch that spans all the books as opposed to each one.

Some really big things happen in part two that involve Tessa finally coming out of her annoying little shell and doing something fun like going to the dance with her brother and sister. I liked seeing the happy and light Tessa better than the scared and alone Tessa. There were a lot of "aww" moments with her and Tristan which made this part even better.

Run To You Part Three: Third Charm
Goodreads Rating: 4.33
Pages: 150
Format: Ebook from Publisher

I'm not going to talk about Part Three because you absolutely need to read Parts One and Two. Telling you anything about Part Three will be just a huge spoiler and I would hate do do that to you. There are some twists and turns and it gets scary, but overall I loved the ending and it really brought the whole book serialization together. Lucky there will be more to this story coming in the Summer of this year. I can't wait to get my hands on it and read even more.
